We become aware of horses in need almost daily. The stories are wrenching to hear and we help out as much as we can. Unfortunately Zia Sanctuary cannot adopt all of them and we do rely on others to help us in our mission. By you adopting, sponsoring a horse or donating a few dollars, we can continue to work together to give homes to animals that are without. Everything counts and is appreciated. Zia Sanctuary was created to give a vehicle for others to help with our mission. We want to expand our family of those who care about horses.
Zia Sanctuary applied to be a non-profit sanctuary and as such any donation is tax deductible after the application is granted. 100% of your financial support goes to the care and wellbeing of the horses.
Give the gift of animal care
Often it is hard finding gifts for others. Give the gift that will touch their heart. We offer gift sponsorships for $100 or more. You’ll receive a printable personalized gift recognition to give to someone.
Levels of Sponsorship/Donation
Support Zia Sanctuary
While direct support of the individual horse is ideal, you may also contribute to the day to day care of the horses. Anything you can offer helps immensely. You may do a one-time donation, or a recurring monthly or yearly donation.
Donate any amount to support all horses and the sanctuary.
Donations over $100/year get a Zia Sanctuary Supporter t-shirt.
Donations over $500/year receive a free weekend at Parkland Ranch to experience what we are doing at Zia Sanctuary.
Regardless of your donation you can spend any amount of time at Zia Sanctuary and be part of what we are doing. Contact us for accomodations at the ranch.
Sponsoring a specific horse:
Being a godparent is a great way to sponsor a horse. Select one of the horses in our herd and become designated as their godparent.
- Fee: $50 per month.
- You have one free weekend at Parkland Ranch with full room and board
- You’ll receive regular updates on your horse.
You may choose to be a Godparent with a friend. Share in the support you provide.
For all three kinds of horse sponsorship, we would like to recognize your support by placing your name with the horse on our site, if you agree of course.
Soulmate for a horse
Anyone who has been around horses knows that we have a much stronger connection to certain horses, they are our soulmates. We have a lot of horses and we each have our own soulmate. The Soulmate Sponsor begins their sponsorship by coming to Zia Sanctuary and being with the herd. Find your soulmate and we can help keep you two connected. We will give you updates on your horse and encourage you to come spend time with them.
The Soulmate Sponsorship is a great option for anyone seeking the healing benefits of being close to a horse.
Spend 3 days at the ranch with full room and board and find your soulmate horse. Initial payment $500 and $50 per month.
Visit your horse anytime and book your room for a reduced rate at Parkland Ranch. One weekend is free!
To sponsor a horse at the Horse Rescuer level puts you in the ultimate roll in saving a horse’s life. We will rescue a horse from the auction for you. We encourage you to come along because it is a very emotional moment. We will bring your horse to the Zia Sanctuary meadows and introduce it to the herd. You may stay at the ranch while they get settled. We will give you quarterly updates on your horse. You may visit us anytime and be closer to your horse.
You may find, as we have, that being a Horse Rescuer Sponsor is a great honor.
Initial payment $1000, and $200 per month.
- You get 3 free weekends with your horse with full room and board (of course you can book more weekends for a reduced rate at Parkland Ranch).
- You may name your horse
